The Lyon Law Society brings together almost 2,200 lawyers.
37 working groups, known as "committees", made up of lawyers working on a voluntary basis, enrich the collective professional knowledge base through their work, their reflections and the events that they organize.
These commissions are above all forums for exchanges and initiatives that enable the members of the Lyon Law Society to stay abreast of the most recent legal knowledge. They are thus able to ensure that they provide their clients with impeccable levels of technical competence and approaches to their cases. To achieve this, the committees regularly organize training sessions to complete their professional competencies covering specific situations or technical aspects (minors in danger, defence of victims, collaborative law of domestic relations, etc.).
They are also at the origin of the close relations set up between the Lyon Law Society and Law Societies in other countries, with the judiciary, and with the main economic and social entities.
Lastly, they hold events aimed at the general public to provide help and enhance awareness concerning certain problems in everyday or professional life.
